The LEGO fashion show is the central feature of Block Party, a fundraising event to benefit OKC Educare, an early childhood education center for underprivileged children.
A select group of designers, including Johnathan Kayne – of Project Runway fame – will “make it work” Tim Gunn -style by teaming up with local artists and clothiers to conceptualize and produce original, LEGO-inspired creations to be worn on the runway by professional models and local celebrities.
Design teams include:
- Desmond Mason with the Design, Housing and Merchandising Department from Oklahoma State University
- Stardeath and the White Dwarfs with War Paint Clothing Co.
- Sen. Andrew Rice with Spencer Stone Co .
- Ferris O’Brien (105.3 FM “The Spy”) with Hugh Meade & Nicole Moan
- Jim Roth with Spencer Stone Co.
Tickets are available at www.blockpartyokc.com. General admission is $75, reserved runway seating is $100, and VIP access with premier runway seating is $125. Seating is limited and advance purchase is required. Tickets will not be available at the door on the day of the event.
