Blackwatch Studios, Dustbowl create perfect storm for local artists and musicians

Dustbowl Arts Market and Blackwatch Studios have joined forces to showcase Oklahoma’s creative talent on Campus Corner in Norman on August 28th.

Local artists and crafters will be hocking their goods on Buchanan Street from 10 am to 7 pm and local musicians will be rocking out in the Hideaway Pizza parking lot from noon to 11 pm.
Dustbowl co-organizer Reese Truesdell said the arts market and music festival offer community encouragement that spurs young artists.

“I believe that Dustbowl is a stepping stone rather than the summit of local art and creativity,” Truesdell said. “We want to inspire others to create their own opportunities. It’s hard to imagine that anyone would be creating or making art if Norman didn’t have events like these.”
